Palace of the Tsar Alexey Mikhailovich in Kolomenskoye
The Palace of the Tsar Alexey Mikhailovich was built in the second half of the 17th century in Kolomenskoye village near Moscow. French composer Hector Berlioz in a letter to V. Odoyevskiy in 1868 wrote: "I have seen a lot, I have admired a lot, I have been astonished many times, but the Ancient Russia – one that appeared before us in the monuments of Kolomenskoye – is one of the most amazing things ever". The Palace was destroyed in the end of 18th century and reconstructed according to ancient drawings in 2010.
Please note!
Enter the park on the side of Kolomenskay metro station through the central entrance and pass the whole territory because the Palace is located in the end of the estate. Better to start from Kashirskaya metro station.
The Kolomensky park is open from April till September: 07:00 – 00:00 and from October till March: 08:00 – 21:00.
