THE STATE RUSSIAN MUSEUM AND EXHIBITION CENTER ROSPHOTO
Three show-rooms ROSPHOTO are located in the picturesque building of the art nouveau period. The house facade has decorated patterns made of sketches of Nicholas Roerich, interiors are authentic fireplaces and stainedglass windows.
The museum includes about 23 thousand exhibits. The collection of ROSPHOTO has materials that are related to the history of the world photography – for example, the photolithography’s collection of the Swiss publishing house Photoglob, a series of photos from Italy, made from 1870 to 1900 and the collection of American artists made from 1880 to 1900.
Exhibitions are changing very quick here: yesterday sunny Cuba was shown, the main theme for today is photos which are related to the last period of the Second World War and first days of peace.
