Russia CityPass presents the announcement of interesting events in April 2021..

The Moscow Kremlin Museums. Exhibition hall of the Patriarch's Palace and Exhibition hall of the Assumption Belfry

The exhibition is dedicated to a crucial period of Russian history: the suppression of the line of direct descendants of Rurik — the first chronicled prince of ancient Russia. The decline of the tsarist dynasty, at the end of the XVI century, gave rise to Turmoil-a national disaster.

The exhibition presents symbols of the royal power, items from the royal treasury, the originals of important historical documents of the late XVI century.

Future Lab. Kinetic Art in Russia.

New Tretyakov, Krymsky Val St., 10, Gallery’s West Wing

The project showcases one of the most impactful, yet underresearched art movements in the second half of the 20th century. Featuring about 400 exhibits, the project covers a broad swathe in the development of the kinetic art in the 1960s–70s, tracing its links to the avant-garde experimentation earlier in the century and to modern art practices.

Dear visitors, please note: visually active works presented at the exhibition can cause a feeling of discomfort!

Bill Viola. The Journey of the Soul

The Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts

Solo exhibition of Bill Viola (1951), a living classic of video art. For more than four decades, he has created audiovisual works accompanying major concert and opera productions. The exhibition features more than 20 video works created in the period from 2000 to 2014.

Displaying the exhibits requires darkness. The museum guides conduct introductory talks in the Italian Courtyard lasting 20 minutes, which will prepare and set you up for immersion in the world of Viola's work.
