Bunker-42 (The Cold War Museum)

The Bunker-42 was built in the 50s for defense from nuclear attack. It is a large complex situated 65 m underground in the very heart of Moscow. It was completely outfitted with food storage, fuel, air regeneration and vent filter systems. The USSR Alternate Command Center of the longrange aviation and The Communications Center have been operating here for 30 years. Today, it is a Cold War museum with guided tours and rare exhibits: Soviet radio stations, chemical protective suits, masks, Geiger counter, Soviet posters and Stalin’s office.

Guided tours are only available.* With the Moscow CityPass card you can take the Declassified Tour in Russian at 11 am or 4 pm or in English at 6:30 pm (choose language and inform the museum manager). The trip to the "Bunker-42" is best combined with the Moscow Transport Museum. The museums are situated one metro stop apart from each other.

It was awesome to enter Kremlin and Tretyakov gallery without queues, because threre were really huge queues! And of course discounts in the top restaurants was preety addition :) Recomended to everyone who is going to Moscow ^ - ^
